DescriptionThe Clifton Bridge at Primsidemill - geograph.org.uk - 1398713.jpg
English: The Clifton Bridge at Primsidemill Scottish Borders Council has almost completed the reconstruction of this bridge over the Bowmont Water at Primsidemill. The middle section of the bridge was washed away in September 2008 during severe flooding in the Bowmont and Kale Valleys when 100mm of rain fell in two days causing widespread damage to roads, bridges and property. A temporary footbridge was erected but the farm at Clifton was cut off from the main road and had to rely on neighbouring farms for assistance with supplies. I saw the pictures on the local TV station but unfortunately I dont have any photos of the damage caused or the original bridge.
