Summary

Description
English: The "Blue Cube" at One Point Street (223 Alexander Street) in Yonkers, New York was a 19th century brick electrical cable manufacturing plant owned by Phelps Dodge and then BICC Cables. When the factory shut down in 1996, the 14-acre site was a brownfield which was remediated and redeveloped into a film and television studio, Hudson River Stage. The studio operated from 1999-2005 and was owned at one time by Miramax, Robert DeNiro, and Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff of Tribeca Films. In 2013, a proposal was made to convert the studio into a performing arts center.
