Fair use rationale for The Daily Compass[edit]

The scanned front-page image of a defunct (1949-1952) newspaper may or may not have a copyright but qualifies for fair use here for the following reasons.

This is only used to denote the newspaper in question.
This image on a nonprofit information site will not harm any rights-holders in commercial exploitation of its copyrights, if any, or in any other way.
This image is the sole way of identifying the publication, and the image is not replaceable with a free-use image
This image is of low resolution, and reproductions will be of poor quality.
