V 1. polovině 16. stol. byly na úpatí Hradiska doly na stříbrnou rudu. Za majitele panství Jaroslava ze Šelenberka se horníci, kteří pracovali ve velmi nelidských podmínkách vzbouřili, zatopili doly vodou a utekli údajně i s rodinami do Uher. Hornická osada byla součástí starého Zubří.
Zřícenina hradu Rožnov

Hrad Rožnov byl postaven v 2. polovině 14. století. Pro jeho stavbu bylo vybráno výhodné místo na vrchu Hradisko (522 m n. m.). Původně gotický hrad byl od 14. do 17. stol. několikrát rozšiřován.

První zmínka byla objevena v listině Voka z Kravař z roku 1372. Na počátku 15. století zde sídlil Lacek z Kravař, později byl v majetku pánů z Cimburka a na konci 15. stol. pánů z Pezinku. Roku 1505 jej získali Kunštátové a roku 1526 Jaroslav ze Šelemberka. V roce 1535 se stal majitelem Jan z Perštejna, ale již v roce 1539 byl hrad z příkazu krále Ferdinanda I. obsazen a pobořen, neboť se v něm usídlila loupeživá tlupa. Později byl hrad provizorně opraven a ještě v roce 1660 sloužil panským úředníkům. Na konci 17. století opuštěn úplně. Zkázu hradu dokonali sami obyvatelé Rožnova. Ve 2. polovině 19. století dostali povolení obecního úřadu zbytky hradu rozebrat pro stavby svých obydlí "aby také nějak té památky oučastní byli".
