Summary

Description

English: This six- and four-bay corner house, built in the last third of the 17th century, is marked by the use of the Louisquatorzian style. The latter is characterized by the alternation between stone (framing of the openings and bands) and brick (sills, overmantels and entablatures) as well as by its grid pattern. The horizontality is underlined by the bands running along the entire façade and extending the lintels of the openings. The verticality is accentuated by the continuity of the pedestals of the windows on both levels. On a fitted base, both levels are open with framed bays with slit frames. The four walled bays, as well as the sills, overmantels and entablature are covered with a red coating. The brick entablature and the cornice are later. Above, the corner ridge roof is made of tiles and is open with two triangular pedimented dormers.
