Français : TOURNAI —Façade de l'immeuble sis quai Notre-Dame, N°26
Contrastant avec les bâtiments voisins, ces immeubles néoclassiques sis au N°26 & au N° 27 -non visible sur cette photo-, ont été construits durant le 1er tiers du XIXe siècle et comptent ensemble sept travées de trois niveaux de hauteur dégressive, percés de baies à linteau droit. Les allèges de ces fenêtres, dotées de simples panneaux, alternent avec des médaillons ornés de reliefs et rosace, placés sous chaque trumeau. Les étages sont soulignés par des bandeaux et des corniches au profil mouluré. Comme sa voisine, la façade montre une sobriété chère au néoclassicisme : enduit blancs, bandeaux horizontaux saillants, trumeaux en pilastres et chapiteaux moulurés… conférant à l’ensemble régularité, horizontalité et homogénéité. In contrast with the neighboring buildings, these neoclassical buildings located at No. 26 & [No. 27 non-visible] were built during the first third of the nineteenth century and together they have seven spans of three levels of decreasing height, pierced with windows. right lintel. The aisles of these windows, with simple panels, alternate with medallions adorned with reliefs and rosettes, placed under each trumeau. The floors are highlighted by bands and cornices with molded profile. The facade shows a sobriety related to neoclassicism: white plaster, prominent horizontal bands, piers pilasters and molded capitals ... conferring on the whole regularity, horizontality and homogeneity.
