Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	This file will be the infobox for Synth 1. It is an image of the software in its default state and the image most associated with the software.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	The image is unique to the software and released on Toda's website, which claims that all rights are reserved. Since this is the default image of the software, new screenshots would be almost indistinguishable from the one provided on the software's homepage. It also appears that most online news sources that have reported on the software have used this particular screenshot. As all rights are reserved, any derivative image would fall under the same restrictions.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	The image will only be used in the infobox of the article on Synth 1.
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2)	Synth1 is a completely free software available for download from Ichiro Toda's website. A screenshot of the GUI does not serve the same purpose as the software itself, and does not allow the software to be used without downloading from the Synth1 homepage.
