Though this image is subject to copyright, I feel its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. This is an image created and uploaded for informational purposes only, for visual identification of the Gold Seal Novel edition of the Rex Stout novella "Black Orchids."
2. The image is an accurate scan and includes all of the art created for the front cover of the publication
3. This image is of much lower resolution than the original. It cannot be used for high-resolution printing, and any copies made from it will be of inferior quality.
4. This image represents the work of the notable American illustrator Benjamin Moran Dale (1889–1951), and is a significant visual interpretation of the fictional character Nero Wolfe
5. This image represents one of only four appearances of a Rex Stout story as a Gold Seal Novel, a newspaper supplement series published 1934–1949
6. The copyright owner's rights to reproduce the image are not limited in any way.
