S TILLMAN Institute is distinguished from all other theo-logical schools in the country.1. It is truly a Home Missionary contribution of ourSouthern Presbyterian Church to the salvation and uplift of theNegro race. Students of approved character are received fromall denominations and treated alike.Our work is to train this young andgrowing race in the great and plaindoctrines of grace, and to give thema usable knowledge of the EnglishBible. 2. Simple industries are provided,such as gardening, carpentry, dairy-ing and poultry raising, which afforda wise vehicle for education and asensible means of exercise and recrea-tion to the students. Credit is giventhem for all labor performed, thusenabling any student to pay his ownway to an education and to becomeself-reliant and enterprising.
