Deutsch: Wandgemälde am Haus Weisser Adler in Stein am Rhein. Gemalt wahrscheinlich 1522/23 von Tobias Schmid.
Die Königin wird verdächtigt, einen Liebhaber zu halten. Um die Wahrheit herauszufinden, lässt der König sie einem Lügentest unterziehen, der darin besteht, einem Löwen die Hand ins Maul zu halten und auszusagen. Die Königin hält also dem Löwen die Hand ins Maul und spricht «ausser dem König und dem Hofnarren hat mich kein Mann berührt». Der Löwe beisst nicht. Nur wir wissen, dass die Königin ihrem Liebhaber ein Narrenkostüm übergezogen hat ... English: Mural on the white eagle building in Stein, Switzerland. Painted about 1522/23 by Tobias Schmid. The queen is accused to have a lover. Therefore the king organizes a lie test. The queen has to hold her hand into the mouth of a lion and speek the truth. She speaks “no other man than the king and the king's jester ever touched me”. The lion does not bite. But just we know that the queen masked her lover as a jester standing right beside her ... |
