Description
English: St Thomas' Church of Ireland, Rathlin Island A church dedicated to St Thomas (as a compliment to Thomas Lindsay, then Archbishop of Armagh) was opened here in 1722, on the site of a more ancient church. A chalice dated 1719 is still in use. Exactly 100 years later the present building was opened. The proprietor of the island, the Revd Robert Gage, was also the first Rector of the present church.
