There has been a church on this site since 1300, present one built 1715 and raised to prevent flooding. Replaced by a photographic copy : 1980 (14th June)due to a defect in the tower the bells sounded for the last time : 1981 Rev 'Nick' Richards had a chalice and communion plate, given to him by his mother on his ordination, stolen whilst he was preparing for a service.
