English: The Master of the Pageant
Mr. Frank Lascelles, the organiser and producer of the Pageant, is himself an Oxford man. As a leading member of the Oxford University Draatic Society he made a great success as Romeo when an undergraduate. He went on the stage on leaving Oxford some six years ago, and has played many leading romantic parts on tour and in London. During Mr. Tree's absence he made a tremendous hit as Nero at His Majesty's Theatre, and since then has spent every hour of the day in the arrangement of the Pageant.
