Summary

Description
English: The hymn tune Slane, used for "Lord of all Hopefulness" and some settings of "Be Thou my Vision", based on an Irish traditional melody. This version is to the metre 10.11.11.11, with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines of each verse beginning on an anacrusis, or upbeat (highlighted in red). By contrast, the original version of the tune begins each line on the first beat of the bar, requiring a different word setting to the metre 10.10.10.10.
