Summary

Description
English: Singleton Railway Station, in the West Dean civil parish of West Sussex, England
Singleton was the biggest of three stations on the old Chichester to Midhurst line. It had four passenger platforms and two loading bays (for horse boxes) and was built to cater for the traffic for nearby Goodwood. In its early years it was heavily used but lost out to the motor car and the station which was opened in 1881 was closed to passengers in 1935, but remained opened for goods traffic until 1953. Since then the station house became part of a vineyard laid out on the slopes behind but has now reverted to private home use.
