Summary

Description
English: Though both Apollo and Athena were revered the importance of Apollo rose over that of Athena in the 2nd century. He was considered to be the founder of the town, and games were held in his honour. The temple in this version was erected in the 2nd century and had 6 x 11 columns. A frieze had medusa heads, it was restored in the 1980’s.
