Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Show the visual style of Yuhimov's Middle-earth illustrations for readers from around the world who have not seen the 1993 Russian edition of The Lord of the Rings, enabling them to evaluate for themselves how appropriate the Russian Orthodox Icon-style of the work may be for Tolkien's novel, and how fitting the scholarly comments in the text are. The image supports and is supported by the paragraph of text above it, so it is neither "decorative" nor forms part of a "gallery".

Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	The image is used at poor resolution. This is the only example of Yuhimov's Tolkien illustrations in the article, and indeed anywhere on Wikipedia.
