Summary

Description
English: Metropole Building, 423 Second Avenue Extension South, in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, USA.

Originally the H. K. Owens Building, according to some sources it was built before the Great Seattle Fire of 1889 (which it survived), though the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods says it was built "between 1892 and 1893". This was the first G.O. Guy drugstore (see en:G. O. Guy). The building was severely damaged by a fire May 21, 2007, but the exterior walls appear are intact, and it will certainly be refurbished.

As of April, 2017 the building is for sale with Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services for $6,500,000.

For more about the building, see Summary for 423 2nd Ave Extension / Parcel ID 5247800595, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. For a picture of it in 1900, see Image:Seattle - G.O. Guy - 1900.jpg.
