Summary

Description
English: Screenshot from 1912 Edison film The Charge of the Light Brigade portraying portion of battlefield strewn with horse carcasses and dead soldiers [NOTE: United States Army cavalry extras from Fort D. A. Russell in Wyoming fielded horses that were trained to lie down under battlefield conditions. The horses depicted in this scene were not dead; in fact, several horses on the ground can clearly be seen moving in the film.] This screenshot comprises one frame from a reprint made from 1912 master negatives and part of Edison's 1916 rerelease of the film, which was distributed once again to United States and foreign theaters.
