Deutsch: Schuberts Brief an der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde betreffend Symphonie Nr. 9 D. 944. Text:
"An den Ausschuß des österreichischen Musik-Vereins.
Von der edlen Absicht des österreich. Musik-Vereins, jedes Streben nach Kunst auf die möglichste Weise zu unterstützen, überzeugt, wage ich es, als ein vaterländischer Künstler, diese meine Sinfonie demselben zu widmen und sie seinem Schutz höflichst anzuempfeh-len.
Mit aller Hochachtung."
English: Schubert's letter to the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde about his Symphony No. 9 D. 944. Text:
"To the Committee of the Austrian Music Society.
Convinced of the noble intention of the Austrian Music Society to support every striving for art in the best possible way, I dare, as a patriotic artist, to dedicate this symphony of mine to it and politely recommend it to its protection.
With all due respect."
Español: Carta de Schubert a la Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde sobre su Sinfonía n.º 9 D. 944. Texto:
"Al Comité de la Sociedad Austriaca de Música.
Convencido de la noble intención de la Sociedad Austriaca de Música de apoyar de la mejor manera posible todos los esfuerzos por el arte, me atrevo, como artista patriótico, a dedicarles esta sinfonía mía y a recomendarla cortésmente a su protección.
