This is a photo of Santa Biondo, an American opera singer whose professional career spanned the years from 1927 to 1938. Here, she is depicted with Rosa Ponselle in a scene from "La Notte di Zoraima", performed at the Metropolitan Opera Company in December 1931. Original photo provided by Mr. Mauro Biondo, nephew to Santa Biondo. Donated by Mr. Biondo to the Metropolitan Opera Company. Scanned (digitized) by the Metropolitan Opera Company. Transmitted by John Pennino of the Metropolitan Opera Company to Allan Lacki for publication on the internet, with permission granted by both Mr Pennino and Mr. Biondo. This photo does not appear in any Metropolitan Opera Company publications or any other publications at the time of this writing, except for Allan Lacki's own private website. Allan Lacki hereby grants Wikipedia with permission to use this photograph.
