Summary

Description
English: In the foreground in in the Ichino torii. In the red box is Sannō Shrine's second torii (with only one supporting column still standing); and just behind the torii is the main platform of the shine precincts.
Context note: One of the two pillars of the Sannō Shrine torii was toppled by the A-bomb blast. The blast also blew away the branches and leaves of the two camphor trees in the precincts of the Shrine, which were then more than 500 years old. At that time, it was feared that the trees might wither and die; however, they gradually began to recover, and now are thickly covered with leaves and branches.
日本語: 原爆投下直後の一の鳥居と二の鳥居(一本柱鳥居、赤枠部分)
