Summary

Description
English: This images shows the Sangre de Cristo Formation at Villaneuva, New Mexico, USA. The Sangre de Cristo Formation is a Permian red bed formation. It correlates with the Abo Formation, and some geologists (such as Spencer G. Lucas) believe the beds here would be more properly assigned to the Abo Formation.
