Summary

Description
English: The algebraic equivalence shown in the downward arrow can lead to a significant performance improvement in an Array DBMS as the right-hand variant requires one (costly) tile stream less than the left-hand variant. Hence, transforming the upper version of the query into the lower one is an optimization that can improve response time.
