English: Statue of Admiral Samuel DuPont in Rockford Park, with Rockford Park Water Tower in the background. The Park has been on the NRHP since September 20, 1978. The park (Historic District) is roughly bounded by Red Oak and Rockford Rds., Church and Rising Sun Lanes, and the Brandywine River, Wilmington, Delaware. The Park is now combined with 3 others and known as "Wilmington State Parks" The statue was commissioned by Congress (according to information plaque) and was formerly displayed in DuPont Circle, Washington, DC
