English: Singapore Red Cross Youth 60th Anniversary Logo.
The design revolves around the 60th anniversary of Red Cross Youth and its continuity into the future. The number 60 takes center stage and is designed to resemble a modified infinity symbol. The infinity symbol symbolises the Red Cross’ continued traditions, its on-going commitment to the betterment of the human race and its progress. It has also been modified so that the numbers 1, 8, 6 and 3 are visible – a nod to the year the Red Cross was founded.
The Red Cross emblem is positioned together with the number 60 in a way that it also takes on the meaning of 60 years and counting, i.e. ’60+’. This once again, reflects our wish that the Red Cross will endure and forge ahead in the years to come.
The infinity symbol also represents the connection between the Link and Cadet; the ‘arm’ of the number 6 symbolises the journey of the Cadet into the Youth Division.
Blue, a colour traditionally associated with peace and calmness, is also a colour of unity, one of the seven fundamental values, and of protection. Furthermore, the colour trio of red, white and blue –a popular and aesthetically pleasant combination – brings a sense of continuity from the current logo used.
