Description Agriculture Deputy Secretary Krysta Harden meets with South African Deputy Agriculture Minister Pieter Mulder at the Sub-Saharan Trade Initiative in Johannesburg, South Africa on Sep. 16, 2013. Agriculture Deputy Secretary Krysta Harden led a trade mission to Sub-Saharan Africa to promote U. S. agricultural trade and investment in the region, which is a long-term goal of the initiative. The trade mission includes 17 U.S. companies and 15 agricultural trade associations that represent a variety of products such as snack foods, beverages, fruit, nuts, and more.
