Description
English: Russian propaganda poster: "Turkish cowardice and valiant prowess", Moscow, November 1914. Krasnoyarsk Museum of Regional Studies. The poster shows a Russian chasing a running Turk, i.e. Osman.

Къ намъ подкравшись, точно тать,
Нѣмцемъ поджигаемъ,
Вздумалъ турка воевать
С православнымъ краемъ.

Наточилъ свой ятаганъ,
Ротъ скривилъ в улыбку.
Позабылъ, знать, бусурманъ,
Плевну, Карсъ и Шипку!..

Вотъ широкіе штаны
Он надѣлъ и феску,
„Я, — кричитъ, — герой войны
Ужъ задамъ я треску!“

Глядь: казакъ бѣжитъ за нимъ
Для геройской схватки.
Турка тутъ: „Аллахъ керимъ!“
Засверкали пятки!

Да теперь не убѣжать,
Песенка ужъ спѣта:
Коль подкрался ты, как тать,
Такъ платись за это!..
