Summary

Description
English: Grave at the "Memorial for the Defenders of the Soviet Arctic", 70 km west of Murmansk on the road to the Norwegian border and close to the Zapadnaya Litsa River. From 1941 - 1944 the Litsa River was the frontline between German/Finnish troops trying to take Murmansk, and Soviet troops defending the city (in which they succeeded). Thousands perished here in the tundras.
