English: Landscape. In a field to the left a group of figures with hayricks harvest grain; in the background a river, dotted with sailboats and larger craft, stretches away to blue hills of horizon. In right foreground clay road winds through row of pine and elm trees. A man on a white horse is talking to a pedestrian. Gold color of field, blue of sky and river, green of trees, accented by scarlet note of a coat thrown over fence to left of road, and horse's saddle blanket.
