Summary

Description
English: Another early Korean kingdom was Baekje, and it was known for its Buddhist art; Japanese Buddhist art owes much to Baekje.
Here is another great Buddhist temple that no longer exists: Mireuksa (彌勒寺, Maitreya Temple), in Iksan, North Jeolla Province. By the 20th Century, only the western stone pagoda (left) was standing, partially collapsed. Partial restoration of Mireuksa is now underway.
