English: Caricaturas sobre la crisis fiscal peruana en 1872. Carlos Contreras Carranza escribe:"Sobre la creacion de nuevas imposiciones , son expresivas las caricaturas aparecidas en el periodico El Cascabel, del 26 de octubre de 1872, a poco de iniciado el gobierno de Pardo, y del 2 de noviembre del mismo año. La primera lleva por título "La gente a quien se va a imponer contribuciones", y se muestra a militares, curas, viudas y ganapanes, de aspecto esquelético y sin rentas. La segunda muestra un hospital lleno de enfermos de "impuestitis", a un costado de cuya puerta esta sentado Manuel Pardo, con una talega donde se atesora el producto del guano". |
