Українська: Жовтопуз безногий (Pseudopus apodus Pallas) (Reptilia: Sauria) ̶ реліктовий вид герпетофауни України, що охороняється Бернською конвенцією та Червоною Книгою України у категорії 1 (рідкісний вид, що зникає). Від змії цю велику нешкідливу безногу ящірку відрізняє наявність рухомих повік та вушних раковин, а також характерне закидання хвоста при русі. Особину на фотографії було знайдено в Осовінському степу, в околицях с. Юргаков кут (після 1948 р. перейменованого на Юркіно), Керченський півострів, , АР Крим, Україна. 21 червня 2016 року.
English: Pallas glass lizard, European legless lizard, or sheltopuzik (Pseudopus apodus Pallas) (Reptilia: Sauria) ̶ the relic species of the Ukrainian herpetofauna protected by the Berne Convention and the Red Book of Ukraine (category I, “rare endangered species”. The characteristics that allow to distinguish sheltopuzik’s from snake are agile eyelids, auricles and typical movements of the tail. The individual on the photo was found at Osovinsky steppe, environs of Yurgakov Kut village (named Yurkino after 1948), Kertch peninsula, Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine. June 21, 2016. |
