Summary

Description
English: Source: Scrapbooks of Althea Boxell (1/19/1910 - 10/4/1988), Book 7, Page 81

This 1890 photo shows a house being moved from the West End to the East End of Provincetown, being floated along the harborfront to its new locations. This particular house is also believed to have already moved once in this manner, from Long Point in the 1850s.

Original Caption: "A general idea of how we move in Provincetown: our house goes with us! This particular house is being moved from Gull Hill (probably one that used to be on Long Point) to Beach Point and is still there. Note scows on left of house. – 1890"
