Français : Une tentative de modélisation de la Tour de Watkin en 3D sur Blender 2.79b. Il s'agit de la toute dernière version de la tour (avec 4 pieds, qui ressemble davantage à la tour Eiffel). Ce dernier point demeure quelque peu conséquent d'autant plus que la plupart des images présentes sur le web la représentent toujours avec 8 pieds, alors qu'il s'agissait en fait d'une version antérieure (elle fut modifiée officiellement pour des raisons d'économies).
En partant du principe qu'elle aurait pu être achevée, ce qui, à l'origine, était loin d'être gagné en vue de l'instabilité critique des fondations. English: An attempt to model the Watkin's Tower in 3D with Blender 2.79b. This was the latest conception of the tower (with 4 feet, which looks more like the Eiffel Tower). This last point is especially important since most of the images found on the internet depict the version with 8 feet, which was in fact an earlier version; it was then scaled back to a cheaper, four-legged design. |
