Although the drawing is still under Proskouriakoff's copyright, inclusion here qualifies for Fair Use under US Copyright law because:

• It is used for a non-commercial and educational purpose.
• It is representative of Proskouriakoff's work:

• It highlights her Maya fieldwork.
• It is used to show her skill as both a reconstruction archaeologist
• It is used to show her skill as a draughtsman.

• It is only a small part of her overall oeuvre
