Summary[edit]

A doublet prism, showing the apex angles (${\displaystyle \alpha _{1}}$ and ${\displaystyle \alpha _{2}}$) of the two elements, and the angles of incidence ${\displaystyle \theta _{i}}$ and refraction ${\displaystyle \theta '_{i}}$ at each interface. The deviation angle of the ray transmitted by the prism is shown as ${\displaystyle \delta }$.
