Summary
| Description |
English: The picture is a Greek Catholic icon depicting the Presentation of Mary. The icon was painted in the end of the 18th century as part of the iconostasis of the Greek Catholic Cathedral of Hajdúdorog, Hungary. This icon is placed on the bottom tier of the iconostasis, the so called Sovereign tier. This icon is the first painting on the southern part of the iconostasis, close to the Deacons' Door. Another icon about the presentation of Mary is placed on the first tier (the so called Great Feasts tier). The reason this feast is displayed on the bottom tier is that the cathedral is dedicated to the presentation of the Holy Virgin in the church.
Magyar: A kép Szűz Mária bemutatása a templomban című jelenetet ábrázolja. Az ikont a 18. század végén festették, a hajdúdorogi görög katolikus székesegyház ikonosztázára. Az ikont az ikonosztáz alapsorában találhatjuk. Ez az ikon jobbról az első festmény az ikonosztáz déli oldalán, közvetlenül a diakónusi ajtó mellett. Az ikonosztáz első sorában (az úgynevezett Ünnepi sorban) is található egy ikon Mária bemutatásáról, amely nem véletlen, ugyanis ez a bibliai jelenet a hajdúdorogi székesegyház címünnepe. |
