Summary

Description
English: Potheri was a village in the Kancheepuram district where the primary occupation was agriculture. But as time passed, it's accessibility from Chennai and low real estate prices were responisble for rapid urbanization. The SRM Group of Institutions acquired close to 500 acres of the village and turned it into a bunch of Multistory buildings housing colleges and hospitals. Some might call this growth, but I call it the death of the village.
