Notes
English: According to Aliverti 2008, p. 159, "most respected Veronese scholars have recently suggested dating this portrait — whose autograph status is now firmly established — to the last years of Veronese’s activity, from 1585 to 1587 or 1588." The date given by the museum website is c. 1560–1570.
