Français : Porte de mons à Maubeuge dans le département du Nord en France :Construite sous Louis XIV de France par Sébastien Le Prestre de Vaubanen 1682 pour abriter un corps de garde, des logements et des cellules.
La porte est la dernière des trois portes de l’enceinte de la ville. En effet la Porte de France fut détruite en 1958 la porte de Bavay est détruite en 1952. Elle est construite en brique, pierre bleue et grès et possède un pont-levis. Elle est classée Monument Historique depuis 1924. Elle est le siège de l’office du Tourisme. Built under Louis XIV of France by Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban in 1682 to shelter a guardroom, housing and cells. The door is the last one of three doors of the surrounding wall of the city. Indeed the Door of France was destroyed in 1958 the door of Bavay is destroyed in 1952. it is built brick-built, blue stone and stoneware and possesses a drawbridge. it is classified as "Historic Monument" since 1924. It is the Tourist Information Office. |
