Summary
| Description | Years ago, friends gave a New Year's Eve party and served port. I had never had it before, but I loved it instantly. Now I keep it in my house. I buy decent port--not the $80 bottle variety, but not the brown paper bag variety either. Sometimes, when I feel the need for something special, I pour it into a small crystal glass and savor its appearance as well as its taste. R.L. Stevenson said, "Wine is bottled poetry." He must have been writing about port. |
