Summary

Description
English: Pingshan Hall平山堂 was first built in 1048 by Ouyang Xiu who was the prefecture chief of Yangzhou. The hall overlooks the green mountains which are of the same altitude as the hall in the south part of the Yangtze River, thus there is the sentence "remote mountais are of the same level as the hall"远山来与此堂平 and consequently it;s called pingshan hall.
