Summary

Description An air-to-air left front view of a Royal Air Force Phantom FG.1 (F-4K) aircraft of No. 43 Squadron in flight. Note extended inflight refueling probe. 43 Sqn and 111 Sqn were the sole users of this variant following the retirement of the Royal Navy FG1's. Prior to this 43 Sqn was formed at RAF Leuchars in 1969 flying the FG1, with 111 Sqn coming north from Coningsby in 1977 exchanging their FGR2's for FG1's in the process.
