Masthead of the defunct Peterborough Herald and Post newspaper. Formerly of 11 Cross Street, Peterborough, Cambs. PE1 1AS

Use in the article of that title is believed to be fair, within the meaning of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 s.30 (1988 cap.48) in the United Kingdom and the Copyright Act of 1976, 17 U.S.C. § 107 (Pub.L. 94-553) in the United States. The exhibition of low-resolution images of logos, to illustrate the subject in question on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation qualifies as fair use under United States copyright law. It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to sell product or said image and no free equivalent is available or could be created that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose
