Description
English: The Pershing II missile. From the source: This two-stage, surface-to-surface missile is sometimes credited with helping to win the Cold War. It was so accurate it was capable of being fired from Boise, Idaho and hitting an area the size of this missile display. The maneuvering warhead guided itself to the target by making radar images of the terrain below and comparing them with stored terrain maps of the target area. Deployment was stopped by the INF Treaty.
