Summary

Description
English: The left hand end of a "Banbury Sheet" from WWII found in 2014 in the roof space of Hut 6 at Bletchley Park. Banbury Sheets, or "Banburies" as they were known, were used in Alan Turing's "Banburismus" procedure that helped to identify some of the Enigma rotors in use and hence reduce the use of "Bombe" time. Banburismus also gave rise to the "Ban" as a measure of the weight of evidence in favour of a hypothesis. This fragment, along with other pieces of scrap paper appeared to have been used to reduce draughts. It, and some of the other pieces, have been conserved and are displayed in Hut 12 at Bletchley Park Museum.
