Notes collection of Queen Christina of Sweden (possibly recovered from the seized collection of Emperor Rudolph II in Prague), with her in Rome in 1655 and part of her collections of art formed with the guidance of Cardinal Decio Azzolino who had been appointed to assist her by Pope Alexander VII. Her residence, the Palazzo Riario on the Via della Lungara (now partly integrated into the Palazzo Corsini), became a private museum, displaying about 270 paintings. Sold Christie's 6 July 2006, London, King Street, Sale 7253, lot 33 for GBP 456.000
