Note on the statue

The photograph itself is licensed per the terms above. The statue is in the public domain in both its country of origin, Italy, and in the United States because its author, Pietro Küfferle, died in 1942. Prior to 1996, the term of copyright protection in Italy was 50 years after the death of the author. 50 years after 1942 is 1992, meaning the statue passed into the public domain before the URAA took effect in Italy in 1996 (see Commons:URAA-restored copyrights). Usage of the photograph in Italy may be subject to additional, non-copyright-based restrictions (see the Soprintendenza template below).

The author died in 1942, so this work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 50 years or fewer.
