Deutsch: Der ehemalige Gouverneurspalast von Fiula (Ungarn), heute Rijeka (Kroatien) am Museumsplatz (Muzejski Trg) wurde 1893 im Auftrag des damaligen Gouverneurs Graf Lajos Batthyány vom berühmten Budapester Architekten Alajos Hauszmann (1847-1926) errichtet. Er beherbergt heute das Marine- und Geschichtsmuseum der Kroatischen Küste (Pomorsko i povijesni Muzej Hrvatskog Primorje). Zu sehen sind Exponate zur Geschichte der Seefahrt in der Region, eine Waffensammlung, Möbel und Kunsthandwerk aus dem 17.-19. Jh. sowie das Gedenkzimmer für den einheimischen Geigenbauer Franjo Kresnik (1869-1943). |
